To whom it may concern:

Thank you for taking time to view my portfolio. I am so excited to begin this new journey in my life as a school counselor. I graduated from Lamar University with a Master's of Education in Counseling knowing that my heart and passion was for the well being and care of others.

My experience working in a Title 1 school for three years has given me such a heart for others to overcome obstacles and instill hope where hope may not be found. I have enjoyed building relationships and friendships with staff and students. I have enjoyed watching others learn, grow and experience joy when they have success. I am there to provide encouragement, help, resources and instill hope, their failures are not mine as their successes are not mine either. This allows others to accept what is their responsibility.

Now I look forward to doing all of this in the role of a school counselor where I can help others learn how to cope, forgive self and others, accept their responsibilities, find hope to overcome their obstacles with the strengths they have and establish a healthy successful life.
