EXPOSITION
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament: While the celebrant is bringing the Eucharist to the altar the following or other suitable hymn may be sung by the congregation.

ADORATION
During this period there should be appropriate prayers, songs, readings from scripture, and a brief homily to help the congregation focus its attention to the worship of the Lord. It is important to remember that the Eucharist is the "Real Presence" of Jesus Christ.

After a period of meditation and reflection the celebrant goes to the altar, genuflects, and kneels. The following or another suitable eucharistic hymn is sung.

Heavenly Father, increase our faith in the real presence of your Son, Jesus Christ, in the Holy Eucharist.
We are obliged to adore him, to give him thanks and to make reparation for sins.
We need your peace in our hearts and among nations;
we need conversion from our sins and the mercy of your forgiveness;
may we obtain this through prayer and our union with the Eucharistic Lord.
Please send the Holy Spirit upon all peoples to give them the love, courage, strength, and willingness to respond to the invitation to Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration.
We beseech you to spread perpetual exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament in parishes around the world.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You are truly present in this Sacrament. Night and day You remain here compassionate and loving.
You call, You wait for, You welcome everyone who comes to visit You.
I thank You, Jesus my Divine Redeemer, for coming to earth for our sake and for instituting the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist in order to remain with us until the end of the world.
I thank You for your presence in this Sacrament. By the light of your Eucharistic love, cast out all the darkness from my mind and heart that I may see clearly the height and depth of Your personal love for me.
With this light, Lord Jesus increase my faith and perfect my hope. I pray that I have the courage to approach You for your loving mercy.
