Candidate Assessment of Performance

The Massachusetts Candidate Assessment of Performance (CAP) elements outline what a teacher should be able to do before stepping into the classroom as an independent, professional instructor. Over their 300+ hours of time in the classroom receiving mentorship and practicing teaching, teacher candidates are observed by and reflect upon these seven elements as they work to improve their proficiency in each.

During the student teaching practicum, teacher candidates reflect on a variety of observations (two announced, two unannounced), self-assessments, student feedback, measures of student learning, and more to further develop their pedagogy. Below are links to each of my CAP sub-sections:
