About

I am an Assistant Professor of Operations and Business Analytics at The Ohio State University. My research domain is sustainable operations management (OM). I use data and text analytics to examine business and environmental problems. I am among the first scholars in my field to apply text analytics in sustainable OM. I have also implemented text analysis in other domains of OM, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing.

My research has been published in Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Risk Analysis, Energy Policy, Journal of the Association for Consumer Research, and Business Horizons. I joined the Operations and Business Analytics department at the Fisher College of Business after obtaining my Ph.D. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management

Before pursuing my Ph.D. at UCLA, I was part of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Lab at UC Berkeley. I collaborated with a team of scientists to develop a math model called “SWITCH” that identifies the least-cost combination of energy technologies to provide low-carbon electricity in 11 western states.
