Thank you for joining Christchurch SAR!
We will create an ID on the LandSAR website (https://www.landsar.org.nz/) for you and you will be listed under the Christchurch team. You should receive an email advising of this.
Please complete your profile details under your name (including phone numbers and address – this ensures you can be contacted by other team members).
Please supply by email a passport-style photograph, with a white background to: membership@chchsar.org.nz
This ID can also be used to access information and upcoming courses etc.
You should receive monthly emails from our training officer about upcoming scheduled training and other events.
Please try to attend regular sessions to get to know other members.
Read our Gear Tips Page.
During the probationary period, you should also focus on attending SAR courses by registering on the LandSAR website using your SAR ID.
The core skills courses are:
Search Methods,
Tracking & Clue Awareness
First Aid
These are the essential courses, but there are numerous others which you are encouraged to attend as you gain experience and confidence as a member.
Christchurch Search and Rescue looks forward to having you involved.
Any questions please contact Campbell Apthorp - the group membership coordinator.
