Libraries of Middlesex (LMX) Children’s Committee, Member 2008-2015/Chair 2010-2011

Collaborated with Children’s Librarians within LMX on 100 Books Before Kindergarten project, Books For Kids, and Storytime Kits. Initiated the creation of a Teen Librarian Committee in 2011.

NJLA Young Adult Services Section: Garden State Teen Book Awards, 2008-2012

Reviewed titles to be included in the list of nominees included on the ballot for the Garden State Teen Book Awards in New Jersey Public libraries.

Princeton Children’s Book Festival Volunteer, 2013-2014

Assisted authors with any needs throughout the day of the festival; directed attendees with questions, etc.

CSLP Program Manuals: 2014-2019

Contributed written sections of the Early Literacy and Teen program manuals.

CSLP Vendor Committee Chair, June 2015-May 2017

Chaired a committee of fifty members to select designs and items to be sold in the CSLP incentive catalog. Acted as a liaison between Demco and CSLP and was instrumental in establishing the current CSLP online store.

Gaston County Early Literacy Collaborative, 2016-2021

As a community affiliate of the North Carolina Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, I worked on projects with partnering organizations in the county to promote early literacy so children are ready to thrive when entering Kindergarten. Projects included: Books in Barbershops, Nurse Family Partnership, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, STEM in Summer Reading Camps and Kindergarten Readiness.

CSLP Artwork Committee Chair: Program Years 2017-2019, 2021

Contracted with award-winning illustrators for the 2017-2022 programs. Worked first-hand with David Macaulay, Brian Pinkey, Leeza Hernandez, and Salina Yoon to provide feedback throughout the draft process.

South Carolina State Library Storyfest Volunteer, 2017-2018

Served as a guide for authors and illustrators with their event schedules for the full day statewide summer reading kickoff.

CSLP Supplemental Manual: 2020

An alternative resource for public libraries unable to offer in-person summer programming. I developed the Children’s, Teen & Adult sections.

CSLP Board of Directors: June 2015- December 2020

As Vendor Chair, I was a member of the Board of Directors and was elected to a three year term of President Elect, President, and Past President for June 2018-December 2020.
