NJLA Summer Reading Workshops 2010-2015

Presented workshops every March that provided programming, decorating, and collection development ideas for librarians throughout New Jersey. As Committee Chair I was responsible for contracting with authors and illustrators to present a program at the annual NJLA conference. It was an honor to host the following during my tenure as chair: Henry Cole, Peter Brown, Joan Holub, Kevin Pyle and Bob McLeod.

NJLA Annual Conference June 2012

Panelist. “Three Cheers for Teen Volunteers” A preconference panel on training, organizing and utilizing teen volunteers in libraries.

Presenter. “Little Scientists.” A hands-on presentation on science programming for preschoolers.”

Presenter. “Going Beyond the Basics: Programming for Preschool Children Beyond Storytime.” A presentation on successful preschool programs.


Adult Services Forum 2012

Presenter. “Ins & Outs of Adult Summer Reading Clubs.” A presentation to encourage Adult Services Librarians to offer summer reading programming for adults.

Presenter & Moderator. “Guerilla Storytime”- conducted a session of challenges and proposed problems that occur during preschool storytime.
