You can delete your ChoreStars account and all associated data at any time, using either method below.
Open the ChoreStars app and sign in as the parent
Go to Settings (bottom tab)
Scroll down and tap Delete account
Confirm twice — deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately
If you no longer have the app installed, email us at [your support email] with the subject line "Delete my account", sent from the Google email address you used to sign in. We will delete your account and confirm within 30 days.
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
Your parent account and sign-in information (name, email)
Your family and all kid profiles (names, avatars, photos)
All chores, tasks, completion history, and photo proofs
All stars, rewards, and redemption history
Screen-time settings and usage data
Notification tokens and app preferences
If other parents share your family, deleting your account removes only your data and leaves the family intact for them. If you are the family's owner or only parent, the entire family's data is deleted.
Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Please cancel it in the Google Play Store app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions before or after deleting your account.
Payment records: purchase records are retained by Google Play and our payment processor as required for financial/legal compliance. We never store your card details.
Minimal records we are legally required to keep (e.g., fraud prevention), retained only as long as the law requires.
