For the Summer of 2023, I decided to develop my skills with a personal project. I decided to make my own e-paper display driven by an ATMega328P microcontroller. I designed a board in KiCAD that includes a microSD card reader, a DS3231 RTC (real time clock), a PMOS to help conserve power, and has everything driven by 2 AA batteries.
For my ECE 20007 class in the Fall 2022 semester, our final project involved creating an audio equalizer that could adjust the volume of different frequency bands within an audio signal. This involved various subsystems such as passive filters, inverting amplifiers, power amplifiers, etc.
For the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters, I switched to the electrical subteam in the Purdue IEEE ROV team as I had an interest in designing my own PCB board. I'm was tasked with creating the ROV's sensor stem board that accepts analog signals from external sensors and help process them for the ROV.
For the Fall 2022 semester, I participated in Purdue's Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) class where I teamed up with 6 other students to develop a Currency Detection Android app that uses image processing and machine learning techniques to differentiate and extract key information about Thai and Columbian paper bills.
For the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters, I designed and built the primary manipulator for the Purdue IEEE ROV team's remotely operated vehicle for the 2022 MATE ROV Competition. The claw was designed in SolidWorks and constructed using parts 3D printed with PLA.
For the Fall 2021 semester, I designed a resin printer ventilation system for an Elegoo Saturn Resin Printer for the Purdue IEEE ROV team. Although the system wasn't manufactured, I was able to develop my CAD skills and learned to integrate 3D printed parts into existing hardware.
I designed and helped build a spinner mechanism for Team 8 for the 2020 First Robotics Competition.
