1960年：神戸市生まれ。
1982年：上智大学文学部哲学科卒業。
1985年：イエズス会入会。
1993年：司祭叙階。アメリカ・バークレーで霊性神学を学び、主に黙想指導に従事するようになる。
現在は、カトリック長府教会主任司祭。

【ミサとは】
ミサとは、神さまに感謝と賛美をささげる大切な儀式です。カトリックのミサは、イエス・キリストの死と復活を記念し、祈りと聖歌を通して神さまとの深い結びつきを感じる時間です。
聖書のことばに耳を傾ける

キリストのからだ（聖体）をいただく
忙しい日常の中で、一週間の心の疲れを癒やし、明日からの毎日を新たな気持ちで歩むための「生きる力」をいただく場所でもあります。
【どなたでもお気軽にお越しください】
ミサは信者だけでなく、どなたでも自由に参加いただけます。 まだ洗礼を受けておられない方も、聖体拝領（パンをいただく儀式）の際に、司祭から「祝福」を受けることができます。
ぜひ、静かな祈りの時間を体験しにいらしてください。
・受付の案内: 初めての方は受付にお声がけください。案内役がサポートします。
・持ち物: 聖歌の本などは備え付けがありますので、手ぶらでお越しいただけます。
・服装: 普段着で構いません。
【Welcome to Our Catholic Mass】
Mass is a precious time to offer thanks and praise to God. In the Catholic tradition, the Mass commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a time to feel a deep connection with God through prayer and hymns.
Listening to the Word of God (Bible readings)
Offering prayers and hymns together
Receiving the Body of Christ (Holy Communion)
In the midst of a busy life, the Mass is a place to heal the spiritual fatigue of the week and receive the "strength for living" to start the next week with a renewed spirit.
【Everyone is welcome to join us】
The Mass is open to everyone, not just for church members. If you have not been baptized, you are invited to come forward during Holy Communion to receive a "blessing" from the priest.
Please come and experience a time of quiet prayer with us.
Information for First-time Visitors
Reception: Please feel free to speak to the staff at the reception desk. Our guides will be happy to assist you.
What to bring: You may come empty-handed. Hymnals and prayer books are available in the pews.
Dress code: There is no formal dress code. Please feel free to come in casual attire.

【教会の歴史】
1895年頃から宣教が開始された。
1952年11月に亀の甲に聖堂が建てられ正式に長府教会が始まりました。
1959年に現在地に移転し聖堂と神父館を建設しました。
2004年にそれまでの木造の聖堂から鉄筋コンクリート造の現代的な聖堂へ生まれ変わりました。
長府は歴史と伝統に富む古い城下町で観光スポットがたくさんあります。
【History of the Church 】
Missionary work in this area began around 1895. In November 1952, a church building was erected in Kamenoko, marking the official beginning of Chofu Church.
In 1959, the church moved to its current location, where a new chapel and rectory were constructed. Later, in 2004, the original wooden chapel was rebuilt into the modern reinforced concrete structure that stands today.
Chofu is a historic castle town, rich in tradition and home to many beautiful sightseeing spots. We invite you to visit us and experience the harmony of history and prayer.

③ファチマの聖母マリア
③ファチマの聖母マリア
カトリック教会にはそれぞれ保護の聖人が決められています。長府教会の保護の聖人は、ファチマの聖マリアです。1953年長府教会設立にあたり、初代主任司祭セルメニヨ神父の尽力により、スペインから贈られた聖母像が、今も教会の裏手に立っています。
1917年5月13日、ポルトガルの寒村ファチマにて、聖母マリアが3人の少年少女に現れました。マリアさまは3つの重大な預言を残し、私たちが祈りと節制に励む真面目な生き方をするように諭されました。今ではカトリックの公式の巡礼地となり、多くの巡礼者が訪れる聖地となっています。
私たちもこのファチマの聖マリアの保護のもと、祈りと愛を大切にした生き方が送れるように、祈りをささげてみましょう！

Our Patron Saint: Our Lady of Fatima
Each Catholic church is dedicated to a patron saint. For Chofu Church, our patron is Our Lady of Fatima. When the church was established in 1953, the first parish priest, Father Sermeno, worked tirelessly to bring a statue of the Blessed Mother from Spain. This statue still stands behind our church today.
On May 13, 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared to three young shepherd children in the small village of Fatima, Portugal. She left them with three significant prophecies and urged us to live a life of prayer and temperance. Today, Fatima is an officially recognized Catholic pilgrimage site, attracting countless pilgrims from all over the world.
Under the protection of Our Lady of Fatima, let us offer our prayers so that we, too, may live a life centered on prayer and love.

④教会の鐘
この鐘は、1952年10月、山口市亀山にサビエル記念聖堂が建立された際、1549年に渡来したフランシスコ・サビエルの来日400年を記念するものでした。
この記念聖堂は1991年の火災により焼失しました。
焼け落ちた6個の鐘の中から選び出して、修復したものです。
東洋に福音を伝えようと、遠くスペイン・バスクより訪れたサビエルの志に耳を傾けたいと願うものです。
④Church bells
The Bell of St. Francis Xavier
This bell was originally dedicated in October 1952, when the St. Francis Xavier Memorial Cathedral was established in Kameyama, Yamaguchi City. It was created to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the arrival of Francis Xavier in Japan in 1549.
Tragically, the Memorial Cathedral was destroyed by a fire in 1991. This bell was carefully selected from among the six bells that fell in the fire and has been faithfully restored.
It stands here as a symbol of our desire to listen to the spirit and vision of St. Francis Xavier, who traveled all the way from the Basque Country in Spain to bring the Gospel to the East.

教会には普段、カトリック司祭が司祭室にいます。
神父さまはミサ・結婚式・葬儀などの司式をはじめ、病人を訪問したり、苦しんでいる人の悩みを聞いたりします（電話でも、個人面談でも）。
また、未信徒のために講座を開いています。
教会を訪問された際、神父さまにお会いになることもお勧めします。
