Volunteer with Chisomo Orphanage and Elderly

We enjoy  meeting different people from around the World and share experiences and skills as we are spending time together. We are welcoming you volunteers from around the world for a period of 4 weeks or more. 

WHY WE NEED YOU

• We are looking for volunteers who will be willing to help our volunteers to learn new skills

• Helping with Social Media marketing. We would like to increase awareness of our Orphanage

• Teach the kids afternoon classes and elderly program

• Help in conducting Bible Study program

• Help in Health and other related issues concerning Health

• Help in sponsoring children to get education

• Help us in entrepreurship skills

• Help us in agricultre program

• Helping us in feeding program

VOLUNTEER WITH CHISOMO ORPHANAGE AND ELDERLY

When you volunteer with us you will have an opportunity to the following sweeting things:

1. Exchange ideas with the local community

2. Teach children and elderly people

3. Learning to dance, sing local songs and other things

4. Play with the children and teach them sports games and local games

5. Walking and visiting local people

6. Help in cooking local food and serving to the kids and elderly

7. Help in office management

8. Fundraising to improve our services

9. Volunteers will receive free Chichewa (local language) lessons at our facility

10. You will acquire cultural styles of living in our beautiful community

11. Volunteers will be taken on a tour to Beautiful Lake Malawi and other National Parks in Malawi

ACCOMMODATION

Currently we do not have accommodation at the facility but we are in process of building hostels which will also be used as accommodation to our volunteers. As of now we have an agreement with Lodge near us which almost 5 minutes drive, and there you will have a private room, mosquito net, shower with breakfast included. You will also have access to a kitchen if you wish to be cooking your own food. You will also have meals at the Orphanage that we eat together with the kids and elderly people.
