steel magnolias

by Robert Harling

directed by Dona Rice

Steel Magnolias is set in a small-town Louisiana beauty salon, a place of significance where a group of women, including a mother and her soon-to-be-married daughter, navigate life's challenges and triumphs through their close-knit friendship. They share gossip, support each other through laughter and tears, particularly when the daughter faces complications due to diabetes.

This story of female bonds, despite tragedy, is set against the backdrop of the salon, a place that holds their memories and experiences. Steel Magnolias is known for its witty dialogue and relatable characters, all while taking place primarily within the confines of the salon.

little shop of horrors

Book and Lyrics by Howard Ashman

Music by Alan Menken

directed by Juan Luis Torres

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new plant breed he calls "Audrey II" after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out-of-this-world origins and intent toward global domination!

One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows, Little Shop Of Horrors, is a charmingly tongue-in-cheek comedy that has been produced worldwide to incredible success.

miracle on 34th street

Adapted by Mountain Community Theater from the novel by Valentine Davies. Based upon the Twentieth Century Fox motion picture Miracle on 34th Street.

directed by Chris Diehl

"This is a tale that we want to believe in, that creates a world we seem to desperately desire, free of the blatant commercialism that surrounds us, where love and decency and generosity of spirit are their own rewards. What we want Christmas to be all about, really." So writes the Santa Cruz Sentinel of this most heartwarming holiday story.

By chance, Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for.

Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris shanghaied to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa. In a dramatic decision, the court confirms Kris as the true Santa, allowing Susan and countless other children to experience the joy of childhood fantasy.
