Along St. Catherine's and between Bishop & Fort streets is a new Chinatown in close vicinity to Concordia University; or as many like to call it Chinatown 2.0.
Similar to Montreal's Chinatown, Concordia Chinatown likewise has a wide variety of East & Southeast Asian cuisines - many of which range from Chinese, Korean, Japanese, to Vietnamese.
Recently, there has been a growing influx of immigration from Mainland Chinese students and businesses. This has also brought in many Chinese restaurants in particular, ranging from Sichuan cuisine, Xi'an foods, to Guangdong dishes (Paré, 2017).
