In a nesting site far to the north of the cooling forests stretching for 17 km is a nesting site, seemingly quiet and abandoned but not entirely while many footsteps show anything of importance have left long ago there exist a lot of nests filled with eggs, the coming month had seen these eggs been scavenged by egg eaters though even they do not put much of a dent in the population of eggs not so far away from this nesting site is a unusual pair, two big goobers though they are no patriarch and matriarch they still posses a large size to their name and have laid the next generation and despite food having dwindled in the coming month they have scavenged the nest site for eggs and kept themselves fed for most of the time and as dawn slowly but surely arrives something beings to stir, its silent at first but soon a nest with 19 eggs have seen movement from the egg and before long the egg is kicked open revealing a hatchling who is quickly joined by its sisters and brothers, this is Tino a hatchling from Robusaravisaurus weighing barely 6 kg its quite heavy for its size unlike a young big goober which themselves are capable hunters at even such a young age and with a perfect timing like this a feast like no other is about to being, the big goober posses a strong jaw and an internal one for shredding, despite this hatchlings aren't completely defenceless, possessing osteoderms these young will make a run for the nearby forest for safety from larger predators and Tino is in the lead with his nest they rather quickly after gathering in the nest they were born in and as dawn became night the massive nesting ground is rilled with life as thousand of young Robusaravisaurus make a run for the forest and with it a lot of predators have come for the feast, most common and prey themselves are the young big goobers learning to hunt the young sauropods this is where Tino meets Nik'a for the first time, Nik'a is a yearling off the big goobers offspring. She has subsisted upon young
Robusaravisaurus and other various small animal and insects and now with the mass spawning off the Robusaravisaurus young she'll have a feast tonight and the coming days when Robusaravisaurus are the most vulnerable, many young sauropods make a run for the forest with various amount of successes from different nests, Tino and his siblings have gotten shoved and even some snatched by various creatures preying upon the young and after 15 minutes off running and getting shoved Tino and a few of his siblings makes it safely, Nik'a has had a good haul too and is likely to survive the coming month off this bounty she has catched alone. Finally upon safety off the forest the young take a needed rest for soon day will arrive and these young will need to bulk up on all food they can gather and eat, in one year Tino will dwarf the previous size Nik'a was not by a landslide but enough to at least stand a chance in battle but they still can be brought down but the chances are equal and the following years Tino would be reach sizes an normal Big goober cannot take down but thats some year for now, now he is merely walking around and eating trying to bulk up a very demanding and rapidly growing body. Nik'a on the other hand had rested and not done much reserving her energy from last night feast though her instincts will soon come to demand more, the excess amount off food has triggered a release of hormones which will be useful later in life to reach rare and larger sizes, if she can sustain this is another story but it does mean Nik'a will require more daily intake then she used too but for now she is resting as Tino with his siblings are off into the safety off the forest, though not completely as predators lurk in every corner of the forests.
During these months Tino would be growing and munching on the low lying vegetation his stomach already adapted to churn and produce a lot of energy during his first years, the first day after the swarming to the forest a lot had died from predators and bulking up was the only way to survive, and Tino with his siblings had already put on a extra five kilos and having developed early formations of Osteoderms large and small to protect them for the future which serves as an armour against attacks. Nik'a has also been bulking up though not as large as her parents she has become larger then the average Big goober her age sporting a fierce appetite and jaws which will become useful in her later years. Following months and Tino is an yearling weighing over 136 kg a rapid growth for a hatchling who weighed a mere 5 kg the previous year when they achieve this yearling status they'll in what survived the previous hatching go out in a massive herd to venture south to more fertile plains to eat much more then last year, and with the fat hump filled up they can make this journey over deserts for a while while Tino only has a sibling left from his patch of nest he has grouped up with many other young Robusaravisaurus this is also by the time young Big goobers select their host herd and grow alongside it many Big goobers live and die by these herd and as a result a patriarch and matriarch forms which are Big goobers who grow to become the biggest of their species with Nik'a seemingly to be a contender with some other older specimens with some younger specimen too tagging along for a bite. Tino and his herd set out in late august setting ahead early of autumn and the unfavourable weather which as hatchlings survived through creeks or huddling together during the first winter when they cannot migrate south. This would be the first time Nik'a and Tino met straggling behind the group Tino had become an easy target and for many goobers this would be a great meal to aid them
