Great walks and good company

About CWW

A packed programme of weekend walks and a busy social calendar have made Chilterns Weekend Walkers one of the region's fastest-growing walking groups.

Founded in 2006 by people moving on from the Chiltern Young Walkers, we now have over 300 members, making us the second biggest Ramblers group in Bucks. Most of us are in our forties to sixties but we welcome anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming group.

Come rain or shine, we offer led walks to suit all abilities with a lively, social vibe.  After a walk we're often to be found at a teashop, cafe or pub.  Members also host pub nights, days out and an annual quiz on a vintage train.

Our walks

As our name suggests, we walk mainly at weekends but we offer extra walks on Bank Holidays and on summer weekday evenings. Walks are usually between 5 and 14 miles in the picturesque Chilterns stretching from the River Thames right across to Hertfordshire. You'll enjoy great scenery, good company and healthy exercise without any worries about getting lost.

Weekends away

We like to explore further afield and organise weekend trips for group members throughout the year. Whether you enjoy the coast or the mountains, there's something for everyone.

In the past year we've enjoyed trips to the New Forest, the Brecon Beacons, Devon and Northumberland.
