Training camps 19-21 May 2023 Umeå

Hanshi Darren Myers, a 9th Dan and one of the senior students of Shogo Kuniba, was invited as a guest instructor at the Chikubukai Umeå camp upon the invitation of its members and with a recommendation from Kyoshi Johan Bakcteman. The camp saw participation from Chikubukai members from various locations in Sweden.

During the camp, the participants focused on practicing Goshindo basics and Kata Shoden Ichi, as well as Karatedo Katas such as Kururunfa and Seisan. Hanshi Darren also imparted his knowledge of Kobudo basics and katas, including Tenryu no Kon, and conducted lessons on Iaido Kata Shinto Kaze no Katana.

Training camps 24-26 May 2024 Umeå

Hanshi Johan Backteman, Shihan Per Åstrand and Renshi Mehdi Eshagh conducted the Gasshuku 2024 on 24-26th of May. During the camp, the participants focused on practicing Goshindo and Kata Shoden Ni, as well as Karatedo Katas such as Hakuchu and Pinan Shodan. Kobudo basics and katas, including Tenryu no Kon, Ryobi no Kon, Kuniba No Tonfa, Nunchako basics and kata. Two Iaido katas Karataka and Muchi no Kimo Shipo were also taught. The seminar ended by kyu and dan grade examinations with the online presence of Kaicho Kevin Watson of Chikubukai in the examination committee.

Training camps 07-08 June 2025 Umeå

Hanshi Johan Backteman, Renshi Per Åstrand and Kyoshi Mehdi Eshagh conducted the Gasshuku 2025 on 07-08 of June. During the camp, the participants focused on practicing Goshindo and Kata Shoden ichi, as well as Karatedo Katas with Bunkais from Bassai Dai, Naifanchin Shodan. Kobudo basics and katas e.g. Susanake no Kon, Kuniba No Tonfa, Nunchako basics and kata. Some Iaido katas Nuki Uchi, Zengo Nuki Uchi, Tsuki Age, Makko, Riken, Riken Gaeshi, Riken Omote and finally, Shinto Kaze no Katana were also taught. The seminar ended by kyu and dan grade examinations in Karatedo, Goshindo, Kobudo and Iaido by the examination committee.
