Making an availability change:
To make a change to your availability, please schedule a 1on1 meeting with the scheduler.
Please use this link to schedule time.
We ask that any availability changes are made through our scheduler so we can be on the same page with you about when you are available to work.
Our standard requirement is that all team members are available to work a minimum of 15 hours a week. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. If you are requesting an exception to be made, please schedule a 1on1 time with our scheduler.
We also ask that all team members have availability to be scheduled Fridays AND Saturdays. We do not allow team members to have a standing Friday and/or Saturday off. We are very diligent about communicating this in our hiring process. The reason for this is for fairness within the team and sharing those days off with everyone while also staffing for the needs of the business.
Schedule FAQs
When should I expect my schedule to be posted?
You're schedule will be posted approximately 1 week ahead of the intended schedule. The latest the schedule will be posted is Thursday before the following week.
If I have a date coming up that I am unable to work (vacation, school play, practice, etc) how do I communicate that with the scheduler?
Time Off Requests are only to be submitted via Hot Schedules. No other requests will be honored. Any texts/emails/personal conversations with a manager regarding requests off WILL NOT be honored. Requests must be submitted via Hot Schedules only. Please submit your Time Off Requests via the Hot Schedules app.
How far in advance should I submit my Time Off Request before the day that I need it?
All schedule requests must be submitted by the end of the day on the Monday 2 weeks before the week in which your request falls. No requests posted after that date will be honored. Once the schedule is posted, you are responsible for working your scheduled shift.
What should I do if I forget to request time off?
If you forget to request time off, you are responsible for working any scheduled shifts that you are scheduled (as long as they are within your agreed upon availability. You are responsible for seeking coverage for your shift. You can do this by using the Hot Schedules app to text someone from the team and ask if they are available to work your shift. All switching of shifts must be formalized in our Hot Schedules scheduling app. It is your responsibility to make sure our scheduling software reflects who will be working for you in place of your scheduled shift.
What if I can't find someone to cover my shift if I am unable to work?
If you are unable to find coverage for your shift, you are expected to work your own shift. We know that this can be tough- but you are HIGHLY encouraged to request off your dates ahead of time. This is an opportunity for YOU to manage your own time and professionally communicate with us ahead of time. If you miss the window to put in a time off request, you are expected to work your scheduled shift and miss the event you were wanting to request off for. This may sound harsh, but this is our expectation. To prevent this from happening, please submit all Time Off Requests ahead of time through Hot Schedules.
I need to change my availability. What is the process for communicating an availability change?
To communicate an availability change, you are expected to schedule a time with our scheduler. Please use this link to schedule time. The scheduler will meet with you at the predetermined time to understand your availability change and submit it for you on Hot Schedules. Only approved availability changes from the scheduler will prompt an availability change.
I want more hours. Can I pick up someone's shift?
Open shifts will be available on Hot Schedules. You are welcome to pick up an Open Shift via the app. We kindly ask that you do not pick up a shift for a position that you have not been trained for. For example, if you are a Back of House team member, please do not pick up a Front of House shift if you have not been previously trained. Another example is if you have not been trained on opening or closing the store, please do not pick up a shift that opens/closes.
