Disciplinary Point System for Infractions of Attendance & Punctuality Policy and Appearance Policy (Uniform, Jewelry and Grooming).
The purpose of our disciplinary points system is to reinforce personal accountability and responsibility. Points will be assessed anytime a team member creates a situation, under their own control, which negatively impacts guests, other team members, and or the business. At times, points may also be assessed for issues outside of the control of team members, for example, being late because of traffic. Again, the purpose of the points system is to create ownership for behavior. No one but you can ensure you arrive to work on time, in complete uniform and be prepared to work to the best of your ability.
You also have control over and will be held accountable for following all standards, processes and procedures for which you have been trained. If you have questions about this policy or need help controlling your points, our leaders are glad to help.
Tardiness Issues:
1 point for being late for your shift. (You must be prepared to start work at the time your scheduled shift starts. For example, you may not put your bags and coat away after you clock in).
Uniform Violation
1 point for uniform or grooming violations, including name tag replacement.Â
Schedule Issues:
3 points for failure to work or find a replacement
9 points for failure to work without notifying a manager (no call, no show).
Points are discretionary, so if any of the above violations become consecutive or egregious, more points may be assessed. Leadership has the prerogative to assess discretionary points that are not defined above, depending on circumstances that may arise.
Over the period of 1 month
6 points will result to a conversation with the Talent Director
9 points could result to a Discipline up to and including termination.
