Authored and passed Senate Resolution 04 demanding ASL courses be reinstated, working tirelessly with the administration to amplify and represent student voices.
Stood before President Rogers, Provost Whitehead, and over 100 other students, faculty, staff, and community members to demand that the Plus/Minus Grade Policy be rejected, which was accomplished due to Senator Chiarelott's persistent efforts.
Wrote and presented all 5 passing resolutions during the 2020-2021 Academic Year, platforming important calls to action including extension of Pass/Fail to a community licensure information database enshrining the protection of student privacy into university policy.
Saved ASL courses from termination by the university
Extended Pass/Fail deadlines for students' well-being
Created database for software used by professors
Supported the official Bowling Green State University Land Acknowledgement statement
Led the planning and preparation for BGSU to host the Ohio Student Government Association Conference in February 2020, bringing student leaders from across the state together to engage and coordinate state wide student initative strategies.
Personally traveled to the Ohio State Legislature Building and had direct one-on-one discussions with State Senators to lobby on behalf of the interests of over 500,000 college students in the state of Ohio.
Learned and networked with thousands of student leaders from across the country to gain new insights into how student governments are run across the United States and collaborate on wider issues.

Both Served in Undergraduate Student Government for 3 years

Gil - Student Affairs Chairperson for 2 years
Gil Passed the Tobacco-Free Policy, which had been stalled for years
Gil and Alex have had extensive involvement in campus green initiatives, with both working on an omnibus sustainability bill to be passed in the near future.
