WelcomE!

My name is Alexander Chiarelott and I am a third year Falcon studying Marketing and Applied Economics with a minor in Political Science.

I have spent 3 full years in Undergraduate Student Government, learning, working, and fighting on behalf of the student body and greater Bowling Green Community.

Over my time in Undergraduate Student Government I have sat on 8 different University Committees, often as the sole undergraduate voice, to advocate for student issues and concerns.

I have traveled to Texas representing BGSU at the national student government conference as well as lobbied Ohio State Senators on mental health, counseling, textbook affordability and a plethora of other issues impacting college students across the state.

As USG President I will deliver a $10 minimum wage for all student workers, secure greater resources and funding for the counseling center, and establish a COVID-19 Task Force on day one that will address student concerns and lead the discussion around vaccine distribution and safety protocols. Gil and I are fully committed to diversity and inclusion and that will be fully represented in our cabinet as well as in our initiatives. We will push to establish a 1910 course that comprehensively focuses on diversity and ensures that all incoming students are well educated on the topic.

Gil Lutz my Vice-Presidential candidate has 3 years of USG experience as a campus leader on sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and student oriented issues. He has passed countless initiatives including the tobacco free policy which has helped keep our student community safe. He is someone that I have full faith and trust in to help me lead not just Student Government, but the student body as a whole.

More information about my USG career can be found under the Our Experience tab. Our extensive agenda can be found under Our Platform. Meet the Team! gets you connected to the student group working for you, and Get Involved provides you with a comprehensive shareable flyer to repost and share!
