Insurance - reminder a copy of the proof of insurance is required at least 3 days before the event.
Watch the correct way to stack chairs. It seems trivial, but I have to restack a lot of chairs every week and this will help me greatly.
Make sure the legs are not locked together.
Avoid use of glitter and confetti - this includes glitter decorations, crafts, glitter glue, glitter tattoos, glitter clothing or accessories.
On the day of your event, you can get the key from the GRAY lockbox to the right of the front door. The code is XXXX (sent by email). On the lockbox, slide the small cover downwards. Turn dials to the code, then press down on the sliding button to the left of the dials, as you pull downwards on the cover. The door will drop down and the key will be inside. Please replace the key at the end of your rental period. Be sure to scramble the number dials and close the small sliding cover on the lockbox. View VIDEO.
I will have programmed the alarm to turn off 1 hour before your event start time. Likewise, the alarm will turn back on 1 hour after your event end time.
If you are running late, contact me immediately, otherwise the alarm will turn on and you will have no way to turn it off. If the alarm goes on beyond a certain time limit, the alarm company automatically calls the police. If the police get here and it turns out to be an alarm problem, the HOA is fined, for which you will be responsible. Contact me via text or phone with any alarm issues.
If you will be placing any decorations, use only blue painter's tape or other similar tape which does not lift paint and is easy to remove. Whenever possible, attach decorations to the trim (window frames, door frames etc) as the paint on these surfaces is more durable. Fees will be assessed for any damage to the center with a minimum charge of $50.
Clean Up - The rental of the center is a valuable benefit for this community and we rely on each renter to take care of the center and return it to the same or better condition. Without everyone's cooperation, the center would not be available for rent at such low rates and the cleaning fee would be much higher (the $55 only covers about 1/3 of actual costs).
Additional cleaning fees will be taken out of your security deposit if the center is excessively dirty.
Cleanup includes, but is not limited to, removal of all rental and catering equipment, sweeping of the floors, clearing all trash, and returning furniture to the proper positions.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All areas must be wiped down, swept or mopped and be free of stains and odors.
2. All counters, surfaces, appliances, cabinets, tables and chairs cleaned and stored properly.
3. All floors must be swept.
4. All trash must be removed and disposed of in the dumpster or at Lessee’s residence.
5. Sinks must be cleaned.
6. Bathrooms must be reasonably cleaned and clear of debris.
Some cleaning equipment will be available for use in the hall closet (broom, mop, dustpan, and cleaning supplies) and under the kitchen sink.
Deposit trash into the trash bins in the parking lot near the playground. The dumpsters have a flip-latch which can make it hard to open the locking arm. Please view this VIDEO to clarify. DO NOT leave trash outside of the dumpster. If you cannot get the dumpster open, you must take the trash and dispose elsewhere. We do not want to attract animals and it is unsightly to have bags of trash exposed.

Some lights are emergency lights and cannot be turned off. Please refer to the sign posted above the light switch for details.
During pool season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), renters may use the pool subject to all the regular pool rules. The pool deck is a shared space and is not reservable for your exclusive use. Renter must pay guest fee for all non-residents. Fee applies only to swimmers over 2 years of age. There is no charge for non-swimmers and kids 2 and under.
The tables and chairs on the pool deck are first come/first serve and you are welcome to use them. We just ask that you don't take up too many. Also, if you prefer, you can bring out a table from the community center. Just put it back when you are done.
I would like to point out that it would be helpful to put up a sign stating this is a private party so people do not think it's a community event. Also, I suggest bringing lots of extra towels and putting a rug or towels in the doorway as the center floor gets dangerously slippery when wet.
To assist the pool personnel in managing pool use, fill out and submit this Pool Access Permission Letter to the front desk at the start of your event. See www.chha.org/pool-rules for pool rules and fees.
First Aid
There is a first aid cabinet at the end of the hallway next to the women's bathroom.
