These Terms & Conditions apply to the Chess Tournament Manager mobile application, also published as Chess Tournaments on Android, provided by Daniel Milano ("we", "us", or "Service Provider").
By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The app helps users create and manage chess tournaments, including players, rounds, pairings, results, standings, tiebreaks, byes, PDFs, premium features, sign-in, and optional cloud backup.
The app is provided as a freemium service and is intended for use as is.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, club, school, or organizational chess tournament management, subject to these terms and applicable app store rules.
You may not:
copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works from the app;
reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code, except where allowed by law;
remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
use the app in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights;
interfere with, abuse, or attempt to bypass app security, purchase verification, account systems, or cloud services.
All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the app remain the property of the Service Provider or their respective owners.
You are responsible for the tournament data you enter into the app, including player names, ratings, results, standings, and any exported or shared PDFs.
You should review pairings, standings, results, and exported documents before using them in an official or public setting. The app is a tournament-management tool and does not replace the judgment of an arbiter, organizer, federation, or official tournament authority.
Dutch Swiss features are experimental and FIDE-aware, but they are not an official, certified, endorsed, or guaranteed FIDE implementation.
Some features may require sign-in. Depending on your platform, the app may support Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Firebase Authentication, or similar account services.
You are responsible for maintaining access to the account provider you use. If you lose access to your Google, Apple, or other sign-in account, some app features, purchase restoration, or cloud backup restoration may not work as expected.
Cloud backup is optional and may require sign-in and an active premium entitlement.
On Android, cloud backup may use Google Drive app data storage in your Google account.
On iOS, cloud backup may use iCloud/CloudKit private database storage in your Apple/iCloud account.
Cloud backup availability depends on third-party services, account status, network access, platform permissions, app version compatibility, and subscription or purchase state. We do not guarantee that backup or restore will always be available or error-free.
You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of important tournament data.
Some app features may require a one-time purchase, subscription, or other premium entitlement. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, and their payment systems.
Prices, trial availability, renewal terms, cancellation rules, refunds, taxes, and payment methods are governed by the applicable app store and payment provider.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
Premium access may require purchase verification, account sign-in, or restoration through the app store or RevenueCat. If verification is unavailable, premium features may be temporarily unavailable.
Some features require an active internet connection, including sign-in, purchase verification, analytics, crash reporting, cloud backup, restore, and store links.
You are responsible for any mobile data, roaming, internet, or third-party charges related to using the app.
The app may not function properly if your device is offline, unsupported, modified, rooted, jailbroken, out of storage, out of battery, or using an incompatible operating system version.

Some records may need to be retained by app stores, RevenueCat, Firebase, Google, Apple, or us for legal, tax, accounting, purchase restoration, refund, fraud-prevention, security, or compliance reasons.
We may update, change, suspend, remove, or discontinue features at any time. You may need to install app updates to continue using the app or certain features.
We do not guarantee that the app will always support every device, operating system version, third-party service, file format, backup format, or previous app version.
We may suspend or terminate access to the app or specific services if you violate these terms, abuse the app, attempt to bypass purchase or account verification, or use the app unlawfully.
You may stop using the app at any time and delete it from your device. Deleting the app may remove local data from that device but does not automatically cancel subscriptions or delete account-linked records held by third-party providers.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, secure, or suitable for every tournament or official use case.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, tournament results, rankings, business, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we update them, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated terms.
