Welcome back to the Chenery Band Community! We are so excited to have your students continuing with us!Â
Â
Beginning of the Year Information/FAQs:
🎵 Students will NOT need their instruments for their very first ensemble classes or for the first day of school. We will ensure everyone is in the proper lesson group before we begin using our instruments and materials.Â
🎵 Students will need their books/binders from last year (red book, yellow and rhythm) for their first weeks of lessons and ensemble as we begin our review. It is OK if the new Blue Book is on order and awaiting delivery. Please see the required supplies for 6th grade on each instrument page for details.Â
🎵 Students will be provided a space to store their instruments during the school day in the band room. Percussionists need to bring their stick bags with all of their sticks and mallets and will have a common locker to store their bags should they choose. Student instruments should NOT be stored upstairs in classrooms.   Â
🎵 Please review the supply list on your instrument page (buttons above) and ensure your student has everything they need.Â
🎵 Students take part in one mixed group lesson and two ensemble practices a week. Memorize your band days so you are prepared to participate with your instrument and music in every class!Â
🎵 New Students to 6th Grade Band -All Rental Instruments and deliveries from David French will be distributed directly to students during class after their first lesson meets.Â
🎵 Who do I email if I have a question about 6th Grade Band? - Email Ms. Viscardi
