Chen Huang, Ph.D. 

Assistant Professor

Chen obtained his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) and completed Postdoc training at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX).  Before joining UAB, he was a Insitute Research Investigator at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has a long term interest in translating big biomedical data into biological and clinical insights.

Araf Mahmud, M.S.

Graduate Student

Araf obtained his BSc and MSc in Biotechnology from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sylhet, Bangladesh). He has a broad interest in computational biology and omics data analysis. His current research focus is to develop and apply computational approaches to identify and prioritize potential therapeutic targets from tumor multiomics data.

Yingnan Song, Ph.D.

Postdoc Fellow

Yingnan obtained his Ph.D. from Peking Union Medical College. Her current research focuses on developing and applying computational approach to understand tumor heterogeneity.

Qi Zhou, M.S.

Visiting scholar

Qi obtained her BSc and MSc in bioinformatics from Hubei University. Her current research focuses on data-driven oncological research and information popularization.
