I am a dedicated registered nurse with a strong foundation in ambulatory care and a passion for nursing education. I began my nursing journey at Everett Community College, earning my Associate Degree in Nursing, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing just one year later. Currently, I am advancing my expertise as a Master of Science in Nursing student with a focus on Nurse Education.
Over the past 13 years, my professional experience has been rooted in the ambulatory care setting—first as a float nurse working across various specialties for six years, and then as a Clinical Nurse Educator for the past seven years. I am committed to supporting nurses in their professional growth and ensuring the highest standards of patient care through education and mentorship.
My time in education has fostered an overarching passion for teaching, mentoring, and promoting professional development. I take pride in being a reliable resource for new nurses, helping them build confidence, competence, and autonomy. Some of my proudest accomplishments include helping establish a clinical ladder for nurses, developing a residency program in ambulatory care, and leading the creation of a forthcoming mentorship initiative. I have also played a key role in reviewing and developing policies, protocols, and standard work—all with the goal of supporting nurses in providing safe, evidence-based, high-quality care.
Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud wife and mother. My husband serves as a firefighter for the Everett Fire Department, and together we’re raising our two beautiful daughters, Hazel and Hadlee, who are the heart of our world. As a family, we enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest—boating year-round and skiing during the winter.
Becoming a nurse educator has allowed me to blend my love for lifelong learning with the joy of empowering others. I am excited to continue this journey through graduate studies and to contribute meaningfully to the future of nursing.
