Transport within the prison service is very important. They transport new inmates from police stations to the prison. They also take prisoners into the city for court cases. 

The transport team are very professional working relationship with the Metropolitan Police as they have to communicate with each other for convoys and also collecting prisoners.

HMP Transport will be based at the prison and in the HMP HQ Offices in the city as prisoners attending court hearings will be taken there the night before the hearing.
