Taking Initiative
My mom is a graphic designer. Growing up, she would ask me, "does this look right?" Overtime, I began to develop an eye for digital design. Although there is no website for my school publication, I still found chances to help out with website design through organizations. I love digital design and web and frequently post on social media platforms to promote my own creative writing.

Next Up
Next Up action fund is an organization dedicated to advancing youth training for a more accessible democracy in Oregon. I first interned for Next Up as a junior on their Youth Action Team, and had the oppurtunity to help behind-the-scenes on their website transfer. I archived documents from one website to their new one, and gained first hand experience with communications.
Running a Blog!
My senior year I wanted a place to share some creative writing, reflections and thoughts about literature; so, I created a blog on Wordpress. This taught me how to create posts, a bit about what makes good website design and how to read an audience. I've created around 10+ posts over the past few months, and am excited to see how this project goes.

I run an Instagram account to help me promote my journalism writing and creative works, as well as post music when I compose!

I also run two tik-tok accounts, one is for myself and one to promote my writing. The one with myself has 4000 followers and frequently gets videos with over 1000 views, with one reaching 2 million views.
