I am a cultural studies scholar and historian specializing in gender, horror & cult films, and alternative music like metal, punk, and emo. My work emphasizes the preservation and accessibility to public scholarship, cultural histories, and subcultural narratives that are often overlooked by the mainstream.
I earned my M.A. at the University of South Florida's Department of Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies. I also earned an American Culture and Society graduate certificate at the University of South Florida's Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies.
This site gives an overview of my research, publications, community engagement, and media appearances.
