Charlie is a board member of TIGLFF Queer Film & Arts and the co-chair of the 2026 Tampa Trans Pride & Tampa Bay's Trans Film Fest.
For his work and initiatives at the University of South Florida and the greater Tampa Bay area, Charlie won the 2024 PRIDE Award for Outstanding Contribution to LGBTQ+ Life at USF.
To support his research about the transgender community in Tampa, Charlie was awarded the Robert E. Loupo Jr. “Legacy of Change” Scholarship by Safe Schools Florida.
He worked at Equality Florida as a summer intern in their TransAction department. During this time, he helped update their Transgender Resource Guide.
Charlie was featured at the TransNetwork's Conversations on Higher Ed. panel that discussed the state of higher education in Florida concerning students, staff, and faculty.
Charlie was a member of the executive board of the University of South Florida's Trans+ Student Union.
He served as president of the organization from 2022-2023.
