Community Engagement

I am a member of the Screening Committees for the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and the Tampa Transgender Film Festival.

For my work and initiatives at the University of South Florida and the greater Tampa Bay area, I won the 2024 PRIDE Award for Outstanding Contribution to LGBTQ+ Life at USF.

To support my research about the transgender community in Tampa, I was awarded the Robert E. Loupo Jr. “Legacy of Change” Scholarship by Safe Schools Florida.

I worked at Equality Florida as a summer intern in their TransAction department. During this time, I helped update their Transgender Resource Guide.

I was featured at the TransNetwork's Conversations on Higher Ed. panel where we discussed the state of higher education in Florida concerning students, staff, and faculty.

I was a member of the executive board of the University of South Florida's Trans+ Student Union. I served as president of the organization from 2022-2023.
