It is our club's responsibility to setup the pitch at Van Morey Road every Saturday morning and pack it up after all games are finished. This will be rostered between teams throughout the season.
We recommend arriving at 08:00 when it is your turn to setup - it will take 4 adults approximately 45 minutes so please ensure you organise a group of parents and arrive on time. The last playing team will need to stay until everything is packed up.

Setup Instructions
If you notice any issues with our goals or equipment please email the club so we can repair it.
The first arriving person should collect the no parking signs and cones from behind the fire station and place them beside the fire station to ensure there is an area for volunteer firefighters to park their cars if they have to respond to an incident.
Then two people (or more) can collect the PVC goals from the fire station backyard and move them to the oval.
Another person can collect the 3 labelled wheelie bins from the Gatekeepers Hut and move them adjacent to the relevant pitch to unload the equipment. The padlock code to the hut is shared on the Gold Boot room and should be saved by all who are setting up the ground.
Wheelie bin - 4 aside
Wheelie bin - 7 aside
Wheelie bin - 9 aside
After unloading the wheelie bin return it to the Gatekeepers Hut so it doesn't get used as a rubbish bin throughout the morning
Then inspect the pitch for any items that may cause harm and also the condition of the pitch. It only takes 5 minutes but it can save a child from being hurt.
4 a side pitches x 2:
Collect the 4 aside wheelie bin from the Gatekeepers Hut.
Collect the four smaller PVC goals (4) from behind the fire station in their yard.
Place a small goal at either end of each pitch, lining the centre of the goal with the white centre mark on the base line.
The front of the goals should be lined up with the outside of the white line.
Secure the goals with the 4 stake/pegs. One each on the side and two on the back lower pipe. Push in with feet at an angle to stop goals from toppling forward if swung on.
Place a yellow corner flag in each corner. Flag should be placed on the outer point of the corner.
Packing Up: Place all equipment in the wheelie bin and return these to the Gatekeeper's Hut. Return the goals to the area behind the fire station.
7 a side pitch (closest to Cricket nets):
Collect the 7 aside wheelie bin from the Gatekeepers Hut.
Collect the large PVC goals (2) from behind the fire station. .
Place goal at either end, lining the blue post join with the white centre mark on the base line.
Loop the elastic around the PVC pipe to anchor the goals as shown in the picture
9 a side pitch (closest to Community Hall):
Collect the 9 aside wheelie bin from the Gatekeepers Hut.
Lay the goal nets on the ground behind the metal goals. Identify the top blue rope (there are tabs of silver duct tape attached to the top rope). This rope will go along the cross bar.
Identify a top corner of the net (where a blue string comes perpendicular to the top rope). Place this over one of the top corners of the goals. Attach to the post with a Velcro strap.
Go to the other end and pick up the top rope and place over the top corner of the goals taking up as much slack as possible. There may be excess net hanging off this upright, but the nets are for bigger goals and we will tidy this up later.
Attach the top rope to the cross bar with velcro straps (use approx 7 straps on the cross bar to ensure the net is tight and there is not too much slack)
Attach the side of the net to the posts using the Velcro straps at mid height of the post. Strap the net to the bottom of the posts so the ball cannot go through the sides.
Find the bottom corners of the back of the net and pull away from the goals. Pull the net tight and hold into position with the pegs on the corners and two in the middle. This should pull the net away from the goal line and the keeper.
Place a corner flag in each corner. Flag should be placed on the outer point of the corner.
Packing Up: Leave velcro straps attached to the net ready for next week's set up. Place all equipment in the wheelie bin and return these to the Gatekeeper's Hut.
Important notes for packing up
Please ensure all equipment is put away neatly as shown in the photos below
The goals should be placed beside the container to keep them from view from the street and avoid cluttering up the gateway
The "no parking" signs and orange cones should also be put away as shown in the second picture below
Ensure that you have checked the oval to ensure no pegs have been left behind
Ensure all three wheelie bins have been returned to the Gatekeepers Hut and the door is securely locked
