How can a school in leafy, affluent Berkshire be put in the same 'league table' as a inner city school, with high EAL and FSM in Birmingham? It’s that simple. Its like putting Liverpool (Champions of Europe and the World!)
in the same league as Forest Green (currently mid-table in League Two). It’s bonkers and it is used by the DfE and Ofsted to beat a school with constantly.
It angers professionals who work in every unique school to know they are compared by Government in the same way. It needs removing and nothing like it needs to come back.
Data is not everything, and children certainly shouldn't be treated as data.
