Education Apolitical

Education is a tool of the DfE - Educators have no ownership, no trust and no morale. We are on the floor and yet we keep 'taking it' because there is no response from us and we all want to do our very best in increasingly difficult circumstances. We have allowed ourselves to become bullied and battered and yet we keep going.

Despite what the mainstream media says during the current Coronavirus crisis SCHOOLS ARE NOT CLOSED, SCHOOLS ARE OPEN! They always have been open and they will always stay open, looking after the vulnerable, feeding the poorer children in society, putting themselves and their families on the line for the children.

Politicians need to work work with the profession to create a simple National Curriculum, designed by educators and not based on political whim, listen to one voice, provide 10 year funding plans like the NHS, remove the testing monster, radically adapt the Inspectorate, get rid of tables that whip us mercilessly…trust us to be teachers.
