ME4200 Vibrations and Controls

Course Description

Linear free and forced response of one- and multiple-degree freedom systems. Equations of motion of discrete systems. Vibration isolation, rotating imbalance and vibration absorbers. Transfer function and state-space approaches to modeling dynamic systems. Time and frequency domain and analysis and design of control systems. Use of MATLAB.

Prerequisites: ME 3200, MTH 2554, APM 2555 and major standing.
