As the Director of Advocacy, Eman's role is to engage CUNY students in advocacy efforts to improve the campus food environment and reduce food insecurity across all 25 campuses. Prior to the Institute, Eman managed the Summer Public Health Scholars Program (SPHSP) at Columbia University, where she worked to support students through a 10-week immersive experience to prepare them for a career in public health. Eman is also actively supporting food justice initiatives in upper Manhattan with the Washington Heights & Inwood (WHIN) Food Council, overseeing all day-to-day activities, coordinating programs, and managing volunteers.
