CFJL Fellowship applications will open on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 and close on Sunday, April 14th, 2024 11:59pm EST.
If you miss the deadline, you won't be able to apply for this round unfortunately. However, keep an eye on our website! We plan to host additional cohorts in future months and will re-open applications.
Please reach out to your recommender in advance and inform them of the April 14th, 2024 deadline! Recommenders will have to complete a separate application in order to submit their letter of recommendation on your behalf. Please direct them to the Recommender's LOR form HERE.
We are still planning out the schedule, however, a majority of the class sessions during the 15-weeks of training will be hosted in-person at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy (55 W 125th St). We expect participants to be able to attend all in-person activities.
Whether your internship will be in-person will depend on the host organization you've been assigned to work with to complete the internship requirement. Please be prepared to work in-person if your host organization's policies allow for in-person opportunities.
No! In fact, accepted fellows will be provided a generous $3,000 stipend for completing the fellowship program requirements.
Unfortunately, the 15-weeks of training will NOT be credit bearing, so you will not be able to transfer the coursework to your college. However, you may be able to use the Fellowship to fulfill any internship requirements your school/major has. We are willing to work with students one-on-one to ensure the Fellowship meet's your school's internship requirements. Once accepted into the program, please be sure to let the staff know if you plan to use the Fellowship for those purposes.
Yes, please include all transcripts from each college institution in your application.
No, our office will not accept any mailed transcripts. Paper transcripts can be scanned into PDF format and uploaded to your online application.
