Advancements

Advancements up to the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class will be determined by the Personal Qualifications and Standards (PQS) sheet as well as the cadet's aptitude , attitude, military bearing, etc. with the final approval being granted by the SNSI . Advancements to Chief Petty Officer and beyond are based upon merit and position within the unit. Addendum 3 of the cadet handbook contains PQS sheets for Seaman Apprentice (E2) Through First Class Petty Officer (E6).
