The CF & Exercise Network is a multi-disciplinary group of people who are professionally involved in using exercise as a management tool for people with cystic fibrosis (CF).
It is well known that exercise is highly valuable for people with CF, a condition that affects nearly 11,000 people in the UK. However, exercise is different for everyone - some people enjoy it, some don't. Some can do lots of different activities, some will be limited in what they can do. Some will want to try new things, some just won't have the time.
It is this individual journey for every patient that is important, and therefore this network has been established to ensure staff involved in the provision of exercise are confident in how they use exercise tests, and prescribe and deliver training programmes, for the benefit of people living with CF.
We are always on the look out for new partners, collaborators and ideas - so please read about our work and get in touch.
The CF & Exercise Network is grateful to the below organisations for contributions of financial and logistical support.
