Gods
Gods are caretakers for cities big and small. A god is a supernatural being who is considered divine or sacred. The cities of Mesopotamia had major gods who were respected, honored, and worshipped. The four most known gods in Mesopotamia are Marduk god of the gods An/Anu: The Supreme Mesopotamian God, Enki/Ea: Wisest of the Mesopotamian Gods, Nanna/Sin: God of the Moon and Ishtar/Inanna: Queen of the Universe. God's are worshiped by all citizens because god's control the earth's area so if people were bad to the god's would stop the farming from growing plants or stop river's from flowing. (WMP)

The Religious Practices where aways in the Great Ziggurat. Religious were really important to the Mesopotamia people and gods. Many texts have been discovering describing religious as well as "magical." Mesopotamians practiced religious designed to keep the god's fed and comfortable. Prayers where people who were worshiped and were great kings or people.There were Festivals which was the only common time Mesopotamian citizen would be able to see or communicate with the god's.
