Lockdown Browser
Respondus LockDown Browser™ is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Blackboard. When students use Respondus LockDown Browser they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications.
Lockdown Monitor
Respondus Monitor™ is an add-on to Lockdown Browser™ that utilizes the student’s webcam to provide additional monitoring. Students and their surroundings will be recorded for the duration of the exam, and any inconsistencies or activities that suggest cheating or plagiarism will be detected and the recording will be flagged.
You can use Lockdown Browser™ for all of your exams but only use Monitor™ for non-proxied, high-stakes exams.
