FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT TO ROME

Train

From the railway station, located in the airport, near the Arrivals and Departures terminals, you can reach the city centre with Trenitalia's connections:

Leonardo Express, a non-stop service exclusively for airport passengers to/from Rome Termini railway station leaving every 15 minutes with a journey time of 32 minutes (one-way ticket: 14 Euro);

Regional FL1 trains to from other stations in Rome, including Rome Ostiense (Piramide) and Rome Tiburtina on metro B line and Rome Tuscolana an metro A line (Ponte Lungo), with departures every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays (one-way ticket: 8 Euro).

Buses

The bus Hub is located in front of T2 and T3 Arrivals terminals. To reach them follow the "Bus Station" sign. A lot of different companies offer bus service between Fiumicino Airport and the City Centre. For more information about timetables and bus service, click here.

Taxi

Taxi Service is available at Terminal 1 and 3. Authorized Taxi vehicles are white with a "TAXI" sign on the roof. Indicative fares for the centre of Rome is about 50 Euros.

FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT TO ROME

Train

The nearest train station to the Giovan Battista Pastine Airport is in the town of Ciampino, connected to the airport by COTRAL/SCHIAFFINI buses every 30 minutes. The journey time is on average 5 minutes. The cost of the ticket, for sale both on board and from the ground staff is 1 Euro. A light rail service connects the Ciampino railway station to Termini in an average time of 15 minutes.

Buses

Rome Ciampino Airport can be reached with a number of buses. The service operates every day, from Monday to Sunday. For more information, click here.

Taxi

Indicative fares to the Rome City Centre is about 30-35 Euros.

HOW TO MOVE IN ROME

The Rome metro opens daily at 5:30 am. Closing dates vary according to the type of the day and the metro line. These are as follows:

Metro A, Metro B and Metro B1: 11:30 pm (during weekdays and on Sunday), 1:30 am (Friday and Saturday).

Metro C: 8:30 pm (at least until 21st December).

The ticket costs 1.50 Euros and it is valid for a single Metro ride or 100 minutes on buses and trams. Daily tickets are available at the cost of 7 Euros (24 hour), 12.5 Euros (48 hour) and 18 Euros (72 hours), without limit on the number of rides.
