Old man mug, made from a pinch pot. It is a tad bit bottom heavy, which is bad, especially for a mug. I like my design for a handle, but I don't know if the size is sturdy enough. I like the glaze too, I probably needed more layers. This was for a friend. Also, I would have made the mug bigger. It is more like the size of a giant teacup, not really a mug, but not really a teacup either. I think I prefer the style of mugs, and I know I hadn't intended for it to look like a teacup
Thrown vase, it is for my mom. I really like how this turned out. The only thing I would have done differently would be to trim the bottom more. I love the shape. I love the smooth, round edges into the sharp corners. I like the swirl in the bottom of the pot, I do it in all of my thrown pieces. I also love my glaze, I think it is achieving the "natural" or "organic" look that I was looking for.
Coil pot project. I wanted this to be so cool. Without the glaze it would have been. The glaze is atrocious. It looks awful on this pot. It is way too dark. I wanted something to cover up the imperfections and at least it made it not the biggest problem. You can't see any of the mistakes with constuction anymore, so I guess that is good. I definitely think this glaze did not fit this pot.
