ABOUT US:

The Central High School Choir Program, known as the Central Singers, holds a tradition of musical excellence and pride that has flourished for two decades. Rooted in a rich history and a strong sense of community, the program provides students with opportunities to grow as musicians, performers, and leaders while representing the values of Central High School.

With multiple choral ensembles-including concert choirs and show choirs-the program serves a wide range of students at every level of musical development. Central Singers are known for their artistry, discipline, and passion for performing.

The CHS choirs consistently earn top ratings at UIL Concert & Sightreading Evaluations and have produced numerous All-State Choir members and 9/10 Honor Choir representatives. The show choirs, VOC and Voltage, have earned recognition at regional and national competitions, captivating audiences with their energy, creativity, and precision.

Beyond performance, the Central Choir Program is dedicated to fostering lifelong skills teamwork, perseverance, and confidence that extend far beyond the stage. Supported by a thriving Booster Club and guided by dedicated directors and voice faculty, Central Singers will continue to honor the legacy of those who came before while building an exciting future.

At its heart, the Central Choir Program embodies its motto: “Bleed Crimson, Sing Gold!”—a reminder of the pride, spirit, and excellence that define every singer who passes through its doors.

YOUR DIRECTORS

MS. KISTLER | HEAD DIRECTOR

MS. AUBREY KISTLER

Ms. Aubrey Kistler is a proud Keller ISD alum, having attended both Central and Timber Creek High School. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University and a Master of Education from Texas Wesleyan University.

In 2016, she began her teaching career in Fort Worth ISD, first teaching sixth grade before spending eight years directing the choral and show choir programs at Southwest High School. During her tenure, her ensembles consistently earned sweepstakes ratings at UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluations, collaborated with universities and professional ensembles, and achieved recognition at both the state and national levels including a 2023 TMEA invited showcase and multiple national show choir final placements.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Kistler has been recognized with the Texas Choral Directors Association “Young Director of Distinction” award (2021) and the Fort Worth ISD Bayard Friedman Teaching Chair of Excellence in Performing Arts (2022). She has served the choral community through leadership roles with the Texas Music Educators Association and is the founder of the Cowtown Classic Show Choir Invitational.

Ms. Kistler is honored to return to her home district to continue the tradition of excellence within the Central High School Choir program.

MS. NOBLETT | ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

MS. LEANNA NOBLETT

Ms. Leanna Noblett began her teaching career in 2016 in Keller ISD at Trinity Meadows Intermediate and Trinity Springs Middle School. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University and is currently in her 10th year of teaching.

She has directed a wide range of vocal ensembles in both school and church settings, and her groups have achieved recognition at the state and national level, including selection as a 2023 TMEA Invited Showcase Ensemble and multiple national show choir finals. In addition to serving as Associate Choral Director at Central High School, Ms. Noblett is the Director of Choral Music at Arborlawn United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.

Ms. Noblett is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Choral Directors Association. She is thrilled to return to Central High School and looks forward to building meaningful memories and musical excellence with the Central Singers.
