Robotics Club

Since the majority of our school year has been converted to virtual learning, we have decided to promote the STEM department at Central High School. In past years, the amount of members in these groups have been thin and this year, we are trying to encourage freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to participate in these STEM groups. Additionally, we have made efforts to encourage females to join the club, because STEM isn't just for boys. Our club offers resources for the VEX Robotics online challenges, as well as resources to help our members learn HTML, Python, JavaScript, and C++. We are desperately trying to get the word out about the STEM department at our school, as the classes offered may be cut in the upcoming school year.

Hi, I am Naomi Nguyen, lowkey the only girl in robotics and committed to the whole technology department. I am head of the Robotics Outreach. So far, I have devoted my life to this team.

Cole Petrosian

Hi, I am Cole Petrosian, life is a lot like VEX Robotics: the tools and parts you get to assemble yourself are really bad and it takes lots of time to assemble something good and then even longer to fine tune things. Then you have to program the robot and VEX Coding Studio gives you errors and you have no idea what's wrong until you realize the title had spaces and the computer doesn't save files like that. That's basically like trying to drive but not realizing the car is in park. Anyways, I try and have fun with robotics but sometimes you'll have to work your tail off. My hobbies include tennis, golf, and e-sports.
