Jessica McDevitt
Director of Choirs

Mrs. Jessica McDevitt is the Director of Choral Activities at Central Crossing High School, directing all five vocal ensembles and the Excelsior Show Choir. She is in her fifth year at CCHS and thirteenth year of teaching music. She previously taught students in elementary, middle, and high school programs in Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois. Mrs. McDevitt received her bachelor's degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Music from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in Gifted Education from Lindenwood University.
Choirs under the direction of Mrs. McDevitt have participated in OMEA Adjudicated events at the district and state level consistently receiving “superior” and “excellent” ratings. Previously she has been involved in directing, choreographing, and producing musicals for community, middle, and high school theater programs. She has worked most recently on Mamma Mia, Mary Poppins, Footloose, Once Upon A Mattress, Cinderella, Starmites, Seussical, Homeroom the Musical, Grease, and Oklahoma. She has also choreographed for Excelsior Show Choir. Mrs. McDevitt is grateful to be part of a fantastic team here at Central Crossing High School and has enjoyed working with such a talented group of students and staff.
Eric Heinsen

Assistant Vocal Director
Mr. Eric Heinsen is the Combo Director and Assistant Vocal Director at Central Crossing High School and the General Music Teacher at Stiles Elementary. He received his bachelor’s degree from Otterbein University in 2015 where he participated in String Orchestra, Concert Choir, Opus One, and Opera Theater. Furthermore, Mr. Heinsen is a Masters student at Capital University working on his Masters of Music in Music Education with a choral emphasis where he was recipient of the vonStein/Mathias scholarship. He is also a proud member and tenor in the Grove City Chamber Singers.
Nathan Hamm
Accompanist for Choirs
Nathan Hamm achieved a Bachelor in Piano Performance from the Ohio State University in 1995, all the while he had been enjoying a position as the main pianist for the North Unitarian Universalist Congregation. In 2001, he was hired by The Dublin Singers, and since then, acquired more choral accompanist positions by the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus, The Delaware Chorus, and Westland and Central Crossing High Schools. Being hired by the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus in 2007 has opened several endeavors for Hamm. There he has taken part in a chamber music project known as UUniverse, and engaged in several solo recitals.
Michael McHargh
Choreographer
Michael McHargh is a Cleveland-based freelance choreographer and clinician with a passion for creating high-energy, visually captivating performances. As graduate of Mayfield High School, he has brought his creativity and passion to show choirs and musicals across multiple schools and age groups. Currently pursuing his degree in Music Education at Cleveland State University, Michael loves inspiring students to shine both on and off the stage. Outside of rehearsals, you’ll likely find him surrounded by family, cheering at sporting events, or embracing his inner show choir superfan and theme park adventurer.
Max Warren
Choreographer
Max Warren is currently a freshman studying Vocal Music Education at the Conservatory of Music at Capital University. He graduated from Grove City High School in Grove City, OH, in 2024. During his time at GCHS, Max was extremely involved within the choir programs. He spent 3 years in the Men's Chorus and the advanced-mixed choir Chorale, as well as 4 years in the advanced-mixed show choir Touch of Class. While in the choir program, Max held multiple leadership positions, such as Associate and Lead Dance Captain in Touch of Class, Secretary/Social Media Manager for the choir program, and Student Director/Conductor for Chorale. Max also had the privilege of participating in numerous district and all-state choirs throughout his high school career. In his free time, Max likes to spend time with friends and family, sing, dance, and assist choirs with choreography and vocals. Currently, he has the pleasure of working with Grove City High School, Central Crossing High School, Whitehall-Yearling High School, River Valley High School, and Beulah Park Middle School! Max plans to earn his degree and pursue teaching choirs at the middle and high school level.
