Policies and Expectations

We are so glad that you are interested in helping your child develop emotionally and physically through enrolling him/her in dance classes. Please read through our policies and expectations below.

Studio Etiquette

  • First and foremost, smile and have fun. It is our mission to make your dancer feel comfortable and learn to express themselves in a positive manner.

  • Food, gum, soda, and juices are not allowed in the studio.

  • Be on time. We have so much to do in so little time. It helps tremendously when everyone is ready and on time.

  • If your child will not be attending class, please give us a heads up.

  • We only have your child for a short amount of time. Therefore, it is important that the instructor has the dancers' full attention, so we do ask hat parents wait in the waiting room. This will help the students from being distracted.

  • No siblings, friends, or anyone may attend class with the students. This again helps eliminate distractions.

  • Weekly attendance is important. See our yearly schedule for any changes to our regular times and days.

  • Please be aware that dress rehearsal is a mandatory event.

  • Watch your students' bags and hands for notes. We will always try to communicate in several ways. Notes, emails, facebook, etc. but it is your responsibility as a parent to keep up on those.

  • Bring a water bottle! We do not have a water fountain, so if your child is dancing with us for more than one class, please send them with a water bottle.

  • We will have t-shirt order forms within the first couple of months. These are totally optional, but so fun for the dancers to have!

Tuition Information

  • See schedule for when tuition is due each quarter. There will be a $10 late fee each week payment is late.

  • If a student's tuition is more than one month late, that student will not be allowed to participate in class.

  • There will be a $30.00 charge for all returned checks.

  • Tuition fees are pre-rated and there is no deductions for holidays or classes missed.

  • We prefer that all payments are made through Venmo, if you have more questions about this, contact us!

Dress Code

  • Dress like a dancer. All dancers must wear appropriate dance attire at all times during class.

  • No "street clothes" (jeans, baggy clothing, tennis shoes, etc.)

  • If a dancer is not in dance attire, he/she will be asked to sit out of class. Dance attire is worn to protect our bodies and helps the instructors to see the dancer's movements.

  • Girls

      • Dancers will wear leotards, fitted tanks, or fitted shirts. It is our recommendation that all dancers wear solid colors to class.

      • Dancers will wear tight fitted shorts or leggings.

      • Dancers who are in competition classes must wear solid colors during these classes. No printed shirts/tanks or patterned leggings/ shorts.

  • Boys

      • Male dancers will wear athletic attire that allow the instructor to see his movements. Nothing too baggy.

  • Shoes

      • If your dancer needs new shoes, let us know at registration and we can order them! Dance shoes should be tight-fitting and easy to move around in.

      • There are to be no street shoes on the studio floor.

Recital Costumes

  • A $25.00 costume deposit per class will be due (see yearly schedule). Costume balances will be due (see schedule).

  • No costume will be ordered unless the deposit is paid.

  • I will let you at a later date the price of each recital costume. This is different for every class because we do not upcharge any of our costumes or shoes.

  • Once the costumes have arrived, your dancer should not wear this costume until their performance.

Arriving and Leaving Class

  • When students are arriving to class, they will wait in the waiting room until an instructor lets them into the studio. This helps avoid interruptions for the class that is in session.

  • Students should use the restroom before class starts. (This is especially important for little ones.)

Inclement Weather

  • We live in the beautiful state of Nebraska where weather can be so unpredictable. In case of bad weather, we will cancel class.

  • If Boone Central Schools is closed or lets out early due to weather, our classes will also be cancelled.

  • We will not call everyone to let them know, however we will post it on our facebook page and in remind app.

Contacting Us

  • We will communicate with you primarily via the remind app.

  • Please call us with any questions or concerns.
