About Centerstage

Dancing since 2007! Our studio was opened by a mother and daughter duo over ten years ago in the small town of Albion, Nebraska. When Erica and her daughter Brittany moved to Albion from Columbus, Nebraska, it was not long before they realized that the opportunities to dance were limited. It was then that Erica, with the help of her then middle-school-aged daughter, turned a dream into reality by opening up a dance studio. As Brittany was still growing up, Centerstage brought in many teachers and choreographers to grow the dreamers into dancers. However, after Brittany graduated from college, she was able to move back to Albion and officially become a co-owner of Centerstage.

About Erica

Erica grew up in Columbus, Nebraska where she enjoyed dancing at Barb's School of Dance. She trained in tap, ballet, and jazz as a young girl and it is clear that dance has been in her heart ever since. Erica works with our youngest dancers at Centerstage teaching ballet, tap, tumbling, lower level jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and pom classes. Erica also owns a daycare in town, where again, her passion for helping children grow shines through. In her free time, you will almost always catch Erica supporting one of her own five children at any and every event that they participate in as well as volunteering with the Albion Fire and Rescue Department.

About Brittany

Brittany was born in Columbus, Nebraska but moved Albion at a young age. She has not stopped dancing since she was three years old taking tap and ballet. Over the years, Brittany has been trained in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, clogging, hip hop, pom, and pointe. Brittany danced in a studio setting from age 3-18, but was also on Boone Central's dance team and cheer team. She served as captain as both teams and got the chance to begin choreographing in high school. Brittany was a two time All-American Dancer and two-time All-American Cheerleader. She trained for a week at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City and performed in the London New Year's Day Parade. Brittany went to Midland University on a dance scholarship where she also served as captain and competed at the national level. In her time on the Midland Dance Team, her team won two national championship titles. Brittany has since enjoyed her time teaching dance whenever she gets the chance, has taught at several studios in the area, and regularly choreographs for local high schools. Brittany works with our more advanced classes at Centerstage. She keeps busy with dance, but that's not all! Brittany also owns a private practice mental health agency where she works full time as a mental health practitioner. She is a wife and a mother of a sweet little boy who loves to spend time at the studio on the tumbling matts.
