Math Circle Competition Team (MCCT)

The LSU Math Circle Competition Team (MCCT) is a program dedicated to preparing middle and high school students for mathematics competitions, such as the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) and the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). The program was formed in 2012 and there are many historical highlights, which can be read on the LSU webpage for MCCT

During our meetings, we cover mathematical topics that appear on the AMC, AIME, Purple Comet Math Meet, and the UWaterloo competitions. In addition, special topics are discussed by popular demand such as calculus, machine learning and programming for competitions.

From Fall 2021 to Spring 2023, I co-coordinated the team with Jiten Ahuja. Since Fall 2023, I have been the sole coordinator and lecturer for the team. Our team is sponsored as a Cain center program, under the sponsorship of Dr. Frank Neubrander

For those interested, former lecturer Aaron Cao, made some great notes. The pdf version of them is available below, alongside some other links to relevant information about MCCT.
