Microbits

BBC Microbits follow the BBC Tradition of providing low cost ICT equipment which is child friendly. The Microbit has a powerful processor, a simple 5 x 5 L.E.D. screen, and output ports which can run connected devices. Microbits are programmed using block code (python also available). The Microbit is flexible- it can take inputs from external sensors, it can sense light, movement and heat, it has an inbuilt compass. At an advanced level the Microbit can control servos, motors, L.E.D.'s and even robots!!!
