Tasked with designing and building our second demo level, this took most of my time this week.
Having little experience with level design, much less puzzle design, this task was a both fun and challenging task.
I created several preliminary sketches with various key set pieces that would be the focus of the level.
After several drafts I began and build a basic version of the level. Alex would later do some set-dressing to complete the look of the stage
Implemented a level transition system that allows multiple levels to be chained together for a more completed experience
This week had a focus on standardization and solidifying a pipeline from our art team to our dev. team to the level designers.
Established a default scale to be used for the creation and redesign of puzzles
Worked with Logan to create a centralized player configuration that will be used going forward.
Did some house keeping and reorganized the team’s file storage structure
