I'm a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Economics of Aalto University and Helsinki Graduate School of Economics, working on the Educa Flagship Program, supervised by Matti Sarvimäki
Previously, I obtained my PhD from the Paris School of Economics (PSE), under the supervision of Gabrielle Fack (Paris Dauphine University / PSE) and Julien Grenet (CNRS / PSE)
I visited SOFI at Stockholm University (May-July 2023), hosted by José Montalbán Castilla
My research examines the causes and consequences of gender and social inequalities in education, with a particular focus on admission policies to selective programs. I study how institutional mechanisms—such as college admission rules and differences in per-student spending—shape unequal opportunities in higher education. I am also interested in gender differences in students’ educational aspirations and choices, particularly the role of the family environment, and how these disparities translate into divergent labor market trajectories.
